{"id":2641,"date":"2026-06-11T08:46:52","date_gmt":"2026-06-11T08:46:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/racingsport.xyz\/?p=2641"},"modified":"2026-06-11T08:46:52","modified_gmt":"2026-06-11T08:46:52","slug":"national-league-clubs-send-letter-to-fa-to-block-academy-proposals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/racingsport.xyz\/?p=2641","title":{"rendered":"National League clubs send letter to FA to block academy proposals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The 52 clubs involved have outlined in the letter an agenda they hope to discuss at the meeting with the FA.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Among the issues they raise are:<\/p>\n<div class=\"ssrcss-2st5ed-ListContainer e5tfeyi0\">\n<ul role=\"list\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Whether the process adopted by the board &#8220;complies&#8221; with the constitutional rights of the member clubs<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The use of &#8220;anonymous&#8221; surveys instead of a formal voting procedure<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The &#8220;incentive of financial distributions&#8221; to press for an agreement<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Concerns&#8221; regarding the independence of decision-making on the board<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A need for &#8220;transparency and accountability&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The letter asks that the FA is bound by a notice period to agree the meeting and confirm an agenda, which is believed to be between seven and 14 working days.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Anthony Shaw, operations manager at Hashtag United FC, pulled the 52 clubs together and signed the letter on their behalf.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">All clubs were listed. Among them were Middlesbrough, Derby County, Halifax, Doncaster Belles and Hull City.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Former Women&#8217;s National League chair Carol West has strongly opposed the proposals, writing on social media: &#8220;The damage being done here should not be underestimated.
