Despite the eye-watering ticket costs there have been plenty of families who have taken the financial plunge to ensure they all get to spend a memorable day together.
This is the Westerland family, and the chance to see the USA on home soil in a World Cup was too big an opportunity to miss.
“This is the biggest game in USA men’s national team history so we want to celebrate it,” says Joey.
Fred adds: “The kids grew up playing soccer, they are big soccer fans so we are excited it is in the States.”
